#How It Works
Add grounds and a flat-bottom filter, pour your water, and the bed steeps like an immersion brew. When you're ready, a release mechanism opens and the brew drains evenly through the paper into your cup or server.
Because the coffee submerges during the steep, the brewer sidesteps the pour-over pitfalls of channeling and uneven extraction — your pour barely matters. #How It Differs
Vs pure pour over (like the Hario V60): the OXO steeps rather than percolates, so it's far more forgiving — there's no continuous pour to get right. Vs the Clever: both steep-and-release, but the OXO uses a flat bottom for even drainage where the Clever uses a cone, and the two differ in release ergonomics. The OXO leans toward repeatable batches and hands-off convenience.
